As far as I can tell yeah. You upload a photo, then the next time you look at your stream there should be a box with a thumbnail for the 'auto-awesome' version.

I'm not entirely certain myself. I think you upload a shot, and then the next time you go to your stream there's a little box with the edited picture in it.

I don't really care either way. I use facebook (rarerly) because meatspace friends are on it. I use G+ because there was an exodus of opponauts during one of the redesigns and they went there.
